Lørenskog municipality has started the coronavirus vaccination. Coronavirus disease is an infectious disease and the national health authorities recommends that as many people as possible gets vaccinated. By getting vaccinated you will avoid getting sick. The vaccine is free and voluntary.
We receive coronavirus vaccines from the Norwegian Institute of Public Health on a weekly basis.
If you haven't received the first dose yet, you can set up an appointment by contacting us by phone 67 49 50 37 (weekdays 10.00 – 15.00), or email: firstname.lastname@example.org
We will contact the residents as we get to the different groups. If you are registered with an address in Lørenskog, then we will contact you when it is your turn. You will receive an SMS on your registered phone number. Click on the link in the SMS and book an appointment for vaccination. If you want help with booking an appointment, you can contact us by phone - 67 49 50 37 (weekdays 10.00 – 15.00).
At the vaccine appointment
Arrive at the vaccination centre five minutes before your appointment. Use a face mask and notify the front desk of your arrival. Please remember to wear sleeves that can be rolled up easily. If you have respiratory symptoms or feel a little sick, postpone the appointment, even if the symptoms are mild. Ring the vaccine hotline - 67 49 50 37 to reschedule.
Where to get the vaccine?
Lørenskog municipality has established a separate vaccine centre on the 2nd floor of Metro Storhandel, the part of Metro that is behind Lørenskog hus (previous MAXI building). The vaccine centre is in the previous G-Sport premises. The address is Kulturhusgata 2.
How do I get there?
If you park in the parking basement, use the entrance which is signposted Metro Storhandel. You can park for free for three hours. It is possible to stop right outside the entrance of the centre for a short time. The nearest bus stop is Knatten. There is an elevator inside the centre.
Do you need interpreter?
You are entitled to use an interpreter. The interpreting service is free. If you need an interpreter notify us when you book an appointment by sending an email to email@example.com or calling 67 49 50 37 (weekdays 10:00 – 15:00). The interpreters and health professionals are bound by a duty of confidentiality. This means that your medical information will be kept as a secret.

Is the vaccine safe?
The different coronavirus vaccines undergo extensive testing before being approved. No serious side effects from the coronavirus vaccine have been detected. it contains no harmful substances and is approved for all religions.
